What an eventful year we’re having! Winter was mild….spring really warm…. everything bloomed early… then hard frosts on May 10th and 11th. June broke heat-wave records….. and then on July 21st a hail storm pelted our orchard.
Some of our apples are pretty dinged up, not sure if we’ll have any sellable grapes, peaches came out pretty good, plums are doing okay. Despite the skirmishes with Mother Nature, the flavor should be as good as ever.
